Where can I pick up a rental car in Kansas City?
Drive KC has three Kansas City metro locations — Pleasant Valley (our home base at 6816 N Church Rd), Gladstone, and Kansas City. Each vehicle shows its exact pickup & return address while you're booking, so you know exactly where you're headed before you confirm.
How do I book a car with Drive KC?
Everything happens online in a few minutes: browse the fleet, pick your dates and times, choose your coverage, and pay securely. Then finalize in about three minutes — e-sign the rental agreement and add your license photos — and your confirmation arrives by text and email. No counter lines, no phone tag.
Do I need my own car insurance to rent?
Every renter needs to carry at least their state-minimum liability insurance. Beyond that, it's your choice: rely on your own auto insurance — we verify it online in about a minute — or add one of our protection plans, which caps what you can owe if the vehicle is damaged on your trip.
Is there a mileage limit?
Rentals include a generous daily mileage allowance, shown clearly while you book. If you drive beyond it, additional miles are billed at $0.25 per mile after your trip — no surprises, the rate is in your rental agreement.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes — a refundable security deposit is held when you book and released after the vehicle comes back on time and in good shape. The exact amount is shown before you pay.
Can I extend or change my rental?
Yes. Use the Manage My Trip link on book.drivekc.com to change your pickup or return dates and times online — extensions keep your original daily rate. Mid-trip, you can adjust your return right from your phone.
What kinds of vehicles can I rent?
Our fleet of 80+ vehicles covers compact through full-size cars, SUVs of every size, pickup trucks, minivans, passenger vans, and cargo vans — all locally managed and maintained by our KC team.
